This afternoon (September 13), Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi (AF HANOI) warmly welcomed a delegation of world-renowned experts in gender-affirming surgery and sexual medicine for a visit and collaborative discussions at the hospital. It was a great honor for AF HANOI to receive such profound interest from international experts in the development of sexual medicine for the future.

Welcoming the International Delegation in the Field of Sexual Medicine for a Hospital Visit

The special delegation was honored to include:

The hospital visit was a part of the “International Scientific Conference: Updates on New Trends in Sexual Health VNU 2024,” co-organized by the Hanoi Medical University (HMU), the Vietnam Society for Sexual Medicine, and Andrology and Fertility Hospital Of Hanoi from September 13-14, 2024. Notably, this was the first scientific conference to feature the simultaneous participation of eight international keynote speakers who are world-leading experts in gender-affirming surgery and transgender healthcare.

In her welcoming speech to the delegation, MD.MSc Le Thi Thu Hien, Medical Director of Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi, expressed her deep honor and gratitude to the experts for taking time from their busy schedules to visit the hospital during their trip to Vietnam. Mrs. Hien also appreciated the valuable insights and suggestions shared by the experts during the visit. She expressed her hope for continued collaboration, support, and guidance from international experts and doctors to further enhance the operations of the Hanoi Center for Sexual Medicine (CSM HANOI) and Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi, contributing to the advancement of sexual medicine in the region and worldwide.

During the working session, MD. MSc Pham Minh Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Sexual Medicine, presented an overview of the center to the visiting experts. Mr. Ngoc highlighted that in recent years, the center has published numerous scientific research papers on sexual medicine in prestigious domestic and international journals. Additionally, the center actively has supported and sponsored social activities related to the LGBT community in Vietnam. Mr. Ngoc affirmed that the medical staff at the Hanoi Center for Sexual Medicine are committed to continually enhancing their professional expertise and are ready to support the community in promoting sexual health, with a particular focus on the health of the LGBT community.

On this occasion, Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi also graciously presented the delegation with commemorative gifts as tokens of appreciation.

Earlier, the delegation had the opportunity to tour various hospital facilities, including the Hanoi Center for Sexual Medicine, the surgical area, the IVF laboratory, the standard patient rooms, and several other key areas of the hospital.
