Signs of chlamydia
Chlamydia usually has no symptom. Most people don’t know they get it. If they get it, sometimes the signs of chlamydia are so mild that people don’t notice about it or they mistake the symptoms for something else. Here are some typical signs of CT infection both male and female:
Pain or burning while peeing, pain during sex, lower belly pain
Abnormal vaginal discharge (may be yellowish and have a strong smell) in women
Bleeding between periods
Pus or a watery/milky discharge from the penis
Swollen or tender testicles
Pain, discharge and/or bleeding around the anus
If chlamydia infects the eyes, the eyes have redness, itching, or discharge. Sometimes chlamydia infections in the throat cause soreness, but it’s rare.
Treatment
CT can be easily cured with right antibiotics by single dose or multi doses during 3-7 days. Treatment requires both all partners. If you don’t treat chlamydia, it can lead to serious problems.
Get tested again in 3-4 months to make sure your infection is gone.
Testing and treatment for chlamydia is quick, easy, and the best way to avoid all these problems.
