19/01/2018

Sexual transmitted diseases (STDs) or it also called sexually transmitted infection (STI), they are infections that are passed from one person to another during vaginal, anal, and oral sex. They’re really common, and lots of people who have them don’t have any symptoms. STDs can be dangerous, but the good news is that getting tested is no big deal, and most STDs are easy to treat. There are many kinds of STDs include: Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Herpes simplex, Syphilis, human papilloma virus (HPV), Scabies, Pubic lice, Trichomoniasis, Molluscum contagiosum…

Some cases we don’t know how and when we get them or who is transmitted these germs for us. Don’t be subjective that your partner doesn’t have any STD symptom, so you don’t need use any method to protect yourself, because STI symptoms aren’t always obvious from no signs or symptoms (asymptomatic) to very clear symptoms. Even with no symptoms, however, you can pass the infection to your sex partners. So it’s important to use protection, such as a condom, during sex. And visit your doctor regularly for STI screening, so you can identify and treat an infection before you can pass it on.

If you think you have STI symptoms or have been exposed to an STI, see a doctor. Some STIs are easy to treat and cure; others require more-complicated treatment to manage them. It’s essential to be evaluated, and — if diagnosed with an STI — get treated. It’s also essential to inform your partner or partners so that they can be evaluated and treated.

The symptom of STD/STI diseases.

STIs often have no signs or symptoms (asymptomatic). Even with no symptoms, however, you can pass the infection to your sex partners. The others have symptoms which arise after having unprotected sex between 2 days – 9 months depend on each kind of infection for example: Neisseria gonorrhea around 2 days – 20 days, HPV some weeks to 9 months.
