Sperm washing is also known as sperm preparation; is a laboratory technique for preparing sperm samples from semen, producing sperm from non-swimmers, or poorly used for assisted reproduction (IUI, IVF). Sperm washing technique so that the semen sample is almost normal after ejaculation and complete dissolution.
The sperm washing procedure is repeated up to 2-3 times. Wash off the above aspirate for the last time leaving 0.5cc for IUI. Or prepare sperm by “Sperm Rise” or “Swim-up” or Gradient technique.
